The ultimate delicious comfort food dessert. It's great served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can also use whatever fruit is in season making it so versatile.
3 lg. Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
or 2 c. fresh blueberries, strawberries, etc.
3/4 t. Cinnamon
1 1/2 t. Lemon juice
1 1/2 t. Apple juice or water
1 c. Certified gluten-free oats
1 c. T.G.I.G.F! Mix
3/4 c. Brown sugar
1/2 c. Unsalted butter, softened
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lay apple slices or fruit in the bottom of a 13" x 9" 2 Quart baking dish. In a small bowl combine cinnamon, lemon juice, apple juice or water and pour over apple slices or fruit. In a medium bowl combine oat topping ingredients and mix together using a fork or fingers until a coarse crumb forms. Sprinkle topping evenly over fruit. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 25-35 minutes until bubbly and light golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
